Job Description – Video Editor | Performance Marketing

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and experienced Video Editor to join our in-house marketing team. The primary responsibility will be to create high-performing video content for Instagram, Facebook and other digital advertising platforms.

We are looking for someone who understands that performance creatives are not just about making good-looking videos — they need to capture attention quickly, communicate the product clearly and drive conversions.

Key Responsibilities

- Create engaging Instagram Reels, Stories and Meta ad creatives for performance marketing campaigns.

- Edit short-form videos designed specifically for paid advertising and customer acquisition.

- Convert raw product footage, UGC, photos and brand assets into compelling ad creatives.

- Create multiple variations of the same creative to test different hooks, messaging, formats and CTAs.

- Develop robust opening 3–5 second hooks to stop users from scrolling.

- Add motion graphics, text animations, transitions, sound effects, music, subtitles and other elements to improve engagement.

- Edit product demonstrations, testimonials, UGC-style videos and promotional content.

- Resize and adapt creatives for different formats — 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, etc.

- Work closely with the marketing and design teams to understand campaign objectives and target audiences.

- Study existing ad creatives and social media trends to identify new formats and creative approaches.

- Keep up with current Instagram/Reels, Meta Ads and short-form video trends.

- Create creatives quickly and efficiently while maintaining brand consistency.

- Take feedback from campaign performance and continuously improve future creatives.

The candidate should be proficient in relevant video editing and creative tools such as:

- After Effects

- Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator

- CapCut or similar short-form editing tools

- Canva / Figma is an advantage

- AI-powered creative/video tools will be an added advantage

What We Are Looking For

- 2–5 years of professional experience in video editing, preferably in D2C, e-commerce, advertising, social media or performance marketing.

- Strong understanding of Instagram Reels and Meta advertising creatives.

- Good sense of visual storytelling, pacing, composition and typography.

- Ability to understand what makes a creative attention-grabbing and conversion-oriented.

- Experience creating UGC-style and product-focused advertisements.

- Strong understanding of music, sound effects, transitions and motion graphics.

- Ability to work independently and deliver creatives within tight timelines.

- A strong eye for detail and willingness to experiment with new creative formats.

- Knowledge of performance marketing metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPA and ROAS will be an advantage.

- Portfolio of previous work is mandatory.

Important

This is not a traditional post-production/video editing role.

We are specifically looking for someone who has experience creating social media and performance marketing creatives and understands how to make videos that generate attention, engagement and conversions.

The role is work from office and requires close collaboration with the marketing, design and content teams.
