Role & responsibilities

Responsible for maintenance of mechanical power presses, pneumatic presses, hydraulic presses, and stamping machines.
Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of power press machines and associated equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems in clutch, brake, flywheel, crankshaft, connecting rod, slide, bolster, gears, bearings, and lubrication systems.
Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including cylinders, valves, pumps, pressure regulators, hoses, and fittings.
Attend machine breakdowns and identify the root cause to restore equipment quickly and safely.
Perform power press die maintenance, including die installation, alignment, adjustment, inspection, and replacement of damaged components.
Check and maintain press slide alignment, shut height, stroke, tonnage, and machine operating conditions.
Inspect and maintain electrical control panels, motors, sensors, limit switches, solenoid valves, relays, contactors, and safety circuits.
Troubleshoot PLC, proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors,



and machine interlocking systems in coordination with electrical/automation teams.
Carry out regular lubrication, tightening, alignment, inspection, and replacement of worn-out parts.
Monitor machine condition and reduce unplanned downtime, breakdown frequency, and maintenance costs.
Maintain maintenance checklists, breakdown reports, preventive-maintenance records, spare-parts records, and machine history.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for repeated machine failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate with production, quality, tool room, and engineering teams to ensure continuous production.
Maintain critical spare parts for power presses and stamping equipment and coordinate with stores/purchase for availability.
