Qualification
- B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
- OR Diploma in Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering
- Candidates with relevant experience in Chemical / API / Pharmaceutical manufacturing plants will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle routine maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems in the chemical/API plant.
- Maintain and troubleshoot field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow and level transmitters, control valves, sensors and switches.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of instrumentation equipment.
- Calibration and testing of various field instruments.
- Troubleshoot PLC/DCS-related instrumentation issues and coordinate with the automation team.
- Attend instrument-related breakdowns and minimize plant downtime.
- Maintain calibration records, maintenance reports and instrument history.
- Assist in installation, commissioning and loop checking of recent instruments.
- Ensure instrumentation systems are maintained in accordance with plant safety and quality requirements.
- Follow all EHS, GMP and plant safety procedures applicable to chemical/API manufacturing.
Desired Skills
- Good knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems.
- Basic knowledge of PLC/DCS, control valves, transmitters and calibration.
- Ability to read P&ID;, instrument datasheets and loop diagrams.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a chemical/API/pharmaceutical plant will be an added advantage.
