Data Engineer - TigerGraph (GSQL, Python, Kafka)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with TigerGraph expertise to design, develop, and maintain graph-based data solutions. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in GSQL (TigerGraph), SQL, Python, and Kafka for developing scalable data ingestion, transformation, and graph analytics solutions.

The candidate will be responsible for creating data loading pipelines, optimizing graph queries, and integrating real-time streaming data into TigerGraph environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize graph database solutions using TigerGraph.
- Develop and maintain GSQL queries, loading jobs, and graph schema models.
- Build and enhance data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Python.
- Integrate data from multiple relational databases and external sources into TigerGraph.
- Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reconciliation.
- Work with Kafka topics, producers, and consumers to support real-time data ingestion.




- Design and implement data quality checks and validation mechanisms.
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize graph traversals and query execution.
- Collaborate with business, analytics, and application teams to understand graph-based use cases.
- Perform code reviews and maintain development best practices.

Required Skills

Must Have
- 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with TigerGraph and GSQL.
- Strong experience in SQL and querying relational databases.
- Strong programming experience in Python for developing loading and automation scripts.
- Good knowledge of Kafka, including Topics, Partitions, Producers, Consumers, and Message Flow.
- Experience in ETL/Data Integration processes.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and data structures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
