We are looking for a Technical Writer in Microsoft technologies (.NET) for our software development center.
The Technical Writer should have excellent verbal and written communication skills with extensive experience in the software industry, experience with the software product / project documentation.
The Technical Writer should -
- Be able to understand functional requirements and create software documentation such as, requirement specifications, technical specifications,user guides, technical reference guides and whitepapers etc.
- Setting up document standards, styles and formats, etc.
- Work very closely with UI designers on usability, UI text and integration points between documentation and product UI
- Perform peer review (editorial) for all documents delivered in a product release.
- Have mastery of textual writing as well as the ability to attach visual and audible references to their work.
- Be a valuable team player and be able to work independently on projects and with international teams to deliver on-time quality documents.
Qualification -
- Atleast 5 years of experience in enterprise applications, software products, web applications, network management applications, and etc. software documentation such as, requirement specifications, user guides, technical reference guides and whitepapers etc.
- Experience in various product documentations particularly in manufacturing, logistics, supply chain and/or transportation areas is desired.
- Ability to manage documentation projects single handedly.
- Experience in working in cross-functional, cross-geography product/content development setup.
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to interact with various teams and meet aggressive, multiple deadlines.
