Job description:
As the Principal Structural Engineer, you have to utilize your technical expertise to develop secure and quality solutions in support of project and discipline requirements with minimal guidance. You need to ensure successful resolution of complex technical issues related to Structure to meet project and discipline deliverables. You need to engage with peers to promote knowledge sharing and act as a consultant and mentor to less experienced engineers to ensure knowledge transfer, product memory, and application of best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Primarily will have a major role in the structural engineering & greenfield design of offshore structures.
Full knowledge in the analysis & design of the primary /secondary/tertiary for the full range of load conditions
- Must be able to take a hands-on role in the design & analysis of structures as well as provide supervision/guidance to working engineers and designers in problem solving
- Expert knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted procedures. In depth knowledge with standard international specifications and codes i.e. British Standard codes, AISC codes, API, Euro codes, DNVGL etc.
- Have experience & well versant in any of the software- Sesam Genie , FEMAP, STAAD-Pro, and SACS. Also, should have sound knowledge in developing the local calculations using spreadsheets/Mathcad/scripting for Genie etc.
