1. JOB PURPOSE
The Finance & Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing the complete finance, accounting, taxation, working capital and financial control functions of the business.
The role requires a strong understanding of a manufacturing and FMCG setting, with particular focus on customer receivables, vendor payables, inventory accounting, raw-material consumption, production costing, COGS, profitability, cash-flow management and statutory compliance.
The candidate will work closely with Sales, Production, Inventory, Purchase, Dispatch and Management to ensure that financial information is accurate, timely and useful for decision-making.
The role is expected to provide management with clear visibility on:
A. Accounting & Financial Control
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations of the company.
- Ensure accurate recording of all sales, purchases, expenses, receipts and payments.
- Maintain the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
- Ensure timely posting and reconciliation of accounting transactions.
- Review journal entries, provisions, accruals and adjustments.
- Maintain proper accounting documentation and supporting records.
- Ensure proper accounting controls are followed across departments.
- Conduct monthly closing of books.
- Identify and rectify accounting discrepancies.
B. Accounts Receivable & Customer Collections
Take complete ownership of the company's customer receivables and collection process.
