Role OverviewChaHe Mode is looking for a skilled Women’s Wear Cutting Master / Pattern Master with 2–5 years of relevant experience in women’s western wear, boutique garments, designer wear, or apparel sampling. The role requires strong pattern-making, cutting, fitting, and sample-development capability.
The candidate should be able to understand sketches, reference images, measurements, and new fashion concepts and convert them into accurate garment patterns. Strong familiarity with corsets, structured bodices, dresses, skirts, tops, layered garments, and evolving fashion silhouettes is essential.
Key
Responsibilities· Create accurate patterns for women’s dresses, tops, skirts, corsets, bodices, sleeves, collars, necklines, panels, and other garment components.
· Understand fashion sketches, reference images, measurements, and design instructions and translate them into production-ready patterns.
· Develop patterns for different corset constructions, including underbust, overbust, bustier-style, panelled, lace-up, boned, structured, and corset-inspired garments.
· Handle a wide range of cuts and silhouettes, including A-line, princess cut, bias cut, empire cut, bodycon, fit-and-flare, asymmetric, panel cut, circular, mermaid, layered, and straight cuts.
· Prepare patterns for first samples, fit trials, corrections, and small-batch production.
· Cut fabrics accurately while maintaining grain direction, seam allowance, pattern matching, and minimum fabric wastage.
· Work confidently with cotton, crepe, georgette, chiffon, satin, organza, net, lining, denim, and other fashion fabrics.
· Understand darts, pleats, gathers, godets, panels, yokes, facings, linings, boning channels, cups, waistbands, and different closure systems.
· Coordinate closely with the tailor during sample development and ensure the intended garment construction is followed.
· Participate in fittings and make pattern corrections based on fit, proportion,
comfort, and design requirements.
· Maintain approved patterns and measurements for repeat production and ensure consistency across pieces.
· Continuously learn and adopt new pattern-making methods, cuts, and construction techniques required for new ChaHe Mode designs.
Required
Skills & Candidate Profile· 2–5 years of relevant experience in women’s western wear, boutique garments, designer wear, sampling, or small-batch production.
· Strong knowledge of pattern making, garment cutting, fitting, and construction.
· Hands-on experience with corsets, bustiers, structured garments, dresses, tops, and skirts.
· Ability to recreate a garment from a sketch, reference image, measurements, or design brief.
· Good knowledge of women’s body measurements, garment balance, sizing, and fitting corrections.
· Ability to handle new and unfamiliar designs with a learning mindset and practical problem-solving approach.
· Strong attention to accuracy, fabric utilisation, and finishing requirements.
· Ability to work collaboratively with the tailor and founder during design trials and sample corrections.
· Formal fashion, tailoring, pattern-making, or garment-technology training is preferred but not mandatory when practical skill is strong.

Details· Employment Type: Full-time, permanent.

· Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka.
· Salary: Up to ₹15,000 per month, based on skill, experience, and practical trial.
· Experience Required: 2–5 years.
