We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure statutory compliance, and support financial decision-making. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, handling taxation, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts
- Record daily financial transactions in accounting software
- Prepare journal entries, ledgers, and trial balances
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records
2. Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process vendor invoices and verify supporting documents
- Ensure timely payments to suppliers
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain records of all payables
3. Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Generate customer invoices and ensure timely billing
- Track incoming payments and follow up on outstanding dues
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain aging reports
4. Bank & Ledger Reconciliation
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Identify and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate general ledger balances

Taxation & Compliance (India-specific)
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.)
- Handle TDS calculations, deductions, and return filings
- Ensure compliance with Income Tax regulations
- Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors
- Keep updated with changes in tax laws
6. Payroll Processing (if applicable)
- Assist in salary processing and payroll accounting
- Ensure statutory deductions like PF, ESI, PT are correctly applied
- Maintain employee payroll records
7. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Generate MIS reports for management review
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting
- Analyze financial data and provide insights
8. Audit & Internal Controls
- Assist in internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Maintain proper internal controls to safeguard assets
9. Cost Control & Budgeting
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Support preparation and tracking of budgets
10. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with internal departments for financial data
- Liaise with banks, auditors, and government authorities
- Respond to financial queries from management
