Job Description – Accounts ExecutivePosition: Accounts ExecutiveJob SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliance, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, hands-on experience in GST and TDS compliance, payroll processing, and proficiency in MS Excel.
- Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial ReportingRecord and maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in the accounting system.
- Prepare and review journal entries, ledgers, and supporting schedules.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Support the preparation and finalization of Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets.
- GST CompliancePrepare and file GST returns including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
- Reconcile GSTR-2A/2B with purchase records and identify discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of annual GST returns (GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C).
- Ensure compliance with applicable GST regulations and maintain supporting documentation.
- TDS ComplianceCalculate, deduct, and deposit TDS as per statutory requirements.
- Prepare and file periodic TDS returns within prescribed timelines.
- Reconcile TDS records and resolve any discrepancies.
- ReconciliationsPerform regular reconciliation of bank accounts, vendor accounts, customer accounts, wallets, and payment gateways.
- Investigate and resolve unreconciled transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of all reconciliations and adjustments.
- Audit SupportCoordinate with external auditors during statutory audits.
- Prepare schedules, reports, and supporting documents required for audit reviews.
- Ensure timely submission of information requested by auditors.
- Payroll & Statutory ComplianceProcess payroll and maintain employee payroll records.
- Handle statutory compliances related to Provident Fund (PF), Qualified Tax (PT), and Employee State Insurance (ESI).
- Ensure timely filing and payment of all payroll-related statutory obligations.
- Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting and statutory compliance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, PT, and ESI regulations.
- Experience with accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, or similar ERP systems.
- Technical SkillsProficiency in MS Excel is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of Excel formulas such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF, IF statements, Pivot Tables, and data reconciliation techniques.
