Job Overview

Vikas Engineering Works is looking for an experienced Turner / Lathe Operator to operate conventional lathe machines and perform accurate machining and turning operations. The candidate will be responsible for producing quality components as per required measurements and specifications while following safety and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate conventional lathe machines for turning and machining operations.
- Perform facing, turning, drilling, threading, boring and grooving operations.
- Set up machines, workpieces and cutting tools properly.
- Read and understand basic engineering drawings and measurements.
- Check finished components using vernier calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools.
- Maintain required quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Identify and report machine or production issues.




- Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain workplace cleanliness.
- Follow all safety and production procedures.
- Complete assigned production work within the required time.

Required

- Diploma qualification.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Turner / Lathe Operator.
- Hands-on experience in lathe machine operations.
- Knowledge of basic turning and machining processes.
- Ability to use measuring instruments such as vernier caliper and micrometer.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and measurements.
- Basic English communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to work full-time in a day-shift, work-from-office workplace.
