Job Description: WordPress Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to maintain, enhance, and optimize our WordPress website. The role involves front-end and back-end development, theme and plugin customization, performance optimization, security, integrations, and technical troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain the WordPress website
- Design and implement recent website features and functionality
- Customize WordPress themes, child themes, and plugins
- Build responsive web pages from UI designs and wireframes
- Manage WordPress core, themes, and plugins while ensuring compatibility and stability
- Monitor and optimize website performance, security, and availability
- Troubleshoot website, PHP, plugin, and technical issues
- Manage API integrations with third-party systems
- Implement technical SEO requirements, including redirects, sitemaps, and schema markup
- Manage hosting for the WordPress website, including GoDaddy, backups, server configurations, website migrations, and staging and production deployments




- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and web accessibility
- Maintain clean, reusable, and well-documented code
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams on website requirements

Education and Background
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field

Skills and Competencies
- Minimum 1+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience
- Strong proficiency in WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, child themes, plugins, and customization
- Working knowledge of jQuery, MySQL, and WordPress database structure
- Experience with page builders such as Divi or Elementor
- Knowledge of REST APIs and third-party integrations
- Understanding of responsive web development and UI/UX principles
