Role & responsibilities

Bank Reconciliation:

Perform and review monthly bank reconciliations for multiple company accounts.

Match and reconcile bank statements with internal financial records.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and the general ledger.

Track and monitor outstanding deposits, checks, and electronic transfers.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of task documentation.

Detect irregularities, escalate suspected fraudulent activities, and recommend resolution strategies.

Maintain thorough documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Journal Entry:-

Prepare and post accurate journal entries for various financial transactions.

Ensure proper classification and coding of transactions as per chart of accounts.

Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate account balances.

Assist in the month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Financial Reporting Support:

Assist in preparation of monthly financial schedules, and reports.

Compile and analyze financial data to support planning and decision-making.





Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and standards.

Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.

Assist in the development and improvement of data analysis processes.

Process Improvement and Documentation:

Evaluate and enhance bank reconciliation and journal entry procedures.

Streamline processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation in line with compliance and audit standards.

Implement best practices and stay updated with industry trends.

Collaborate with the internal team and cross-functional teams as necessary.

Participate in meetings to discuss accounting issues and provide insights.

Provide functional support and mentorship to junior analysts on technical accounting areas.

Review their work, provide feedback, and assist in career development.
