Manufacturing engineer
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Conduct time studies and implement lean manufacturing techniques.
- Specify and design tools, jigs, and fixtures for production.
- Ensure tools and equipment meet precision and tolerance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100, FAA).
- Implement corrective actions for non-conformance issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during manufacturing.
- Monitor and improve manufacturing efficiency and output.
- Collaborate with vendors to procure specialized equipment.
- Develop processes and tooling for new products.
- Identify and implement process improvements for cost reduction and efficiency.
- Create and maintain manufacturing process documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in machined manufacturing or a related field.
- Powermill CNC machine programming
- Proficiency in understanding complex manufacturing processes.
- Deep understanding of aerospace standard (AS9100, NADCAP requirements).
- Knowledge of ITAR compliance and export control regulations.
- Expertise in material properties.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for production decisions.
- Robust ability to understand GDT requirements.
