A lathe machine operator sets up, runs, and monitors manual or CNC lathe machines to shape metal, wood, or plastic parts. They read blueprints, install cutting tools, adjust machine speeds, and use precision measuring tools to inspect finished workpieces for quality and exact dimensions.
Key Responsibilities-
- Machine Setup: Install chucks, fixtures, and cutting tools; align raw materials safely.
- Operation: Run turning, facing, drilling, boring, and threading processes.
- Quality Control: Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to match blueprint tolerances.
- Maintenance: Explicit chips and debris, oil moving parts, and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Safety Compliance: Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and keep the work area clean.
Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
