Role Description
The Senior Security Operations Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events and incidents across onsemi’s global infrastructure. This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru South involves operating and tuning security tools, investigating alerts, performing root cause analysis,



and recommending remediation actions to reduce risk. The role includes developing and maintaining security operations playbooks, collaborating with IT and engineering teams to strengthen defenses, and supporting threat hunting activities to identify emerging risks. The engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement of security processes, assist with security reporting and metrics, and help ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
- Experience in security operations, including monitoring, incident detection, triage, and response in a SOC or similar setting.
- Proficiency with common security tools and platforms (e.g., SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management solutions, log management systems).
- Solid understanding of network security, operating system security (Windows, Linux), and cloud security fundamentals.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST,
