Location: Across all Ovum Hospitals Units
Qualification: GNM / B.Sc Nursing
Registration: Karnataka Nursing Council (KNC) registration is mandatory
Experience: 0–5+ years depending on the department and position
Key Responsibilities
- Provide secure, compassionate and quality nursing care to patients.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall clinical condition.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate nursing records, patient files and documentation.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures and clinical interventions.
- Follow infection control, patient safety and hospital protocols.
- Ensure proper handover and coordination with doctors and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and attendants regarding treatment, medication and basic care.
- Maintain cleanliness,
safety and proper functioning of the nursing station and patient-care areas.
- Handle emergency situations effectively and escalate critical conditions promptly.
- Ensure proper checking, maintenance and availability of emergency equipment and supplies.
- Follow medication safety and nursing protocols at all times.
- Participate in shift handovers, audits, training programs and quality initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Nursing In-charge / Nursing Superintendent.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
NICU: Care of neonates, monitoring vital parameters, incubator/warmer care, feeding, medication administration and assisting in neonatal emergencies.
PICU: Monitoring critically ill pediatric patients, medication administration, ventilator support assistance and emergency care.
OT: Pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, surgical assistance, instrument/sponge
