Role Title: Senior PHP / Laravel Developer (WCAG Accessibility Specialist)
Position Summary: We are seeking a hands-on Senior Developer specializing in PHP and Laravel (Blade templating) to drive WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 Level AA accessibility remediation across enterprise web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remediate accessibility audit findings directly within PHP and Laravel (Blade) codebase.
- Implement accessible frontend components conforming to ARIA APG guidelines and semantic HTML5.
- Resolve keyboard navigation, focus management, color contrast, and landmark structure issues.
- Collaborate with third-party external auditors to review, verify, and close accessibility tickets.
- Conduct hands-on testing using screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) and automated suites (axe DevTools, WAVE, Pa11y).
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 4+ years of core development experience in PHP and Laravel (Blade).
- Practical, hands-on experience in WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA remediation within production web apps.
- Robust proficiency in Semantic HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA standards.
- Familiarity with Git version control and PR-based workflow.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Vue.js or Laravel Nova.
- Automated accessibility testing in CI/CD pipelines.
