Role & responsibilities
- Define and own the end-to-end test strategy across edge devices and cloud services.
- Design and build automated test suites covering regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Validate data integrity across the complete data pipeline, from edge devices through cloud services to dashboards.
- Execute failure-scenario testing and validate system recovery and resilience mechanisms.
- Conduct sustained-run performance testing on real hardware.
- Perform end-to-end validation of IoT systems across edge, device-to-cloud communication, and cloud services.
- Identify, document, and track defects and work closely with development teams to support resolution.
- Validate system reliability, performance, and data consistency across distributed components.
Preferred candidate profile
- 2+ years of experience in test engineering, preferably working with distributed systems or IoT platforms.
- Strong experience in QA and test automation using Python and pytest.
- Hands-on experience in regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Experience validating distributed systems and end-to-end data pipelines.
- Good understanding of IoT systems, edge devices, and cloud-based services.
- Experience testing data integrity across device-to-cloud and cloud-to-dashboard workflows.
- Ability to design and execute failure-scenario testing and validate system recovery mechanisms.
- Experience conducting sustained-run performance testing on real hardware.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to system reliability, performance, and data consistency.
- Ability to work closely with software development teams in a technical, distributed-systems workplace.
