Job Title: Veterinary Doctor – Poultry Division (Junior/Mid-Level) Location: Patnagarah, Dist- Balangir, ORISSA, INDIA Reports to: Senior Veterinary Officer / Head of Poultry Operations Company: SAARAS GROUP SALARY : 40,000 – 50,000 (negotiable as per industry norm and experience.) Job Summary: We are looking for a qualified and motivated Veterinary Doctor to support the health management of our integrated poultry operations, including broiler farms, layer units, breeder farms, and hatcheries. The role involves monitoring flock health, disease prevention, vaccination implementation, and contributing to biosecurity and production efficiency across various poultry verticals. Key Responsibilities: Monitor flock health and identify early signs of disease across broiler, layer, breeder, and hatchery units. Administer treatment protocols and assist in executing vaccination schedules. Conduct routine health checks, post-mortem examinations, and sample collection for lab diagnostics. Maintain health records, mortality logs, and treatment histories. Ensure biosecurity protocols are strictly followed across all units. Educate farm workers on animal handling, hygiene, and basic veterinary practices. Support farm audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance documentation. Collaborate with nutritionists and operations teams for overall productivity and welfare of birds.
Visit field locations as required to support remote or contract grower farms. Qualifications & Experience: Educational Qualification: B.V.Sc & A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry) Registration: Must be registered with VCI (Veterinary Council of India) or relevant State Veterinary Council Experience: Junior Level: 0–2 years (Freshers encouraged to apply) Mid-Level: 2–5 years in poultry health management Desired Skills: Strong understanding of poultry diseases, treatment, and vaccination schedules Familiarity with biosecurity standards and poultry production systems Ability to handle field conditions and travel to farms as required Good communication skills and the ability to work with farm teams Basic computer literacy for maintaining records and reporting Compensation & Benefits: Market-competitive salary (based on experience and role level) Accommodation / Housing support .
