An IT or computer lab instructor in a school should teach students fundamental and advanced computer skills, guides hands-on practical sessions, and manage the computer laboratory infrastructure and design lesson plans, ensure equipment works properly, and help students complete digital assignments.
- Teaching Classes: Teach basic computer use, typing, office software, internet safety, and coding or digital literacy.
- Managing Lab Sessions: Guide students through practical exercises during computer lab hours.
- Maintaining Equipment: Keep computers, software, networks, and peripherals updated and in good working order.
- Evaluating Progress: Grade assignments, track student performance, and offer extra support.
- Enforcing Rules: Ensure students follow protected and proper lab usage policies.





Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Applications (Diploma/ITI/BCA/B.Sc/B.Tech).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong grasp of operating systems, office tools, basic troubleshooting, and educational software.
- Communication: Clear verbal skills to explain technical ideas to young learners.
- Patience: Ability to help students with different learning speeds and tech skill levels.
