Position Overview

The Professor of Law will provide academic and research leadership within the School of Law. The role involves delivering advanced legal education, leading research initiatives, mentoring faculty and students, supervising doctoral research, developing academic programmes, and contributing to the strategic growth and academic excellence of the School.

The Professor is expected to maintain high standards of teaching and research while contributing to institutional development, regulatory compliance, and national and international academic engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, tutorials, case discussions, and advanced academic sessions in Law.
- Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and other law programmes as assigned.
- Develop and review course curricula, syllabi, teaching methodologies, and academic resources.




- Provide academic leadership and mentorship to Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, and other faculty members.
- Supervise and guide Ph.D. scholars and doctoral research candidates.
- Undertake high-quality independent and collaborative research in areas of specialization.
- Publish research papers in peer-reviewed and UGC-listed journals and other reputed academic publications.
- Lead research projects and contribute to securing external research grants and funding.
- Develop interdisciplinary and cooperative research programmes with national and international institutions.
- Organize and participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, faculty development programmes, and academic forums.
- Promote moot courts, legal aid clinics, internships, clinical legal education, and other experiential learning activities.
- Mentor students and scholars in academic, research, professional, and career development.
