Business Development Manager – B2G IT Software Location: Chennai Experience: Minimum 4 Years Industry: IT Software / IT Services Business Segment: B2G (Business-to-Government) Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in B2G IT Software / Government business development. The candidate will be responsible for identifying government-sector opportunities, developing client relationships, participating in tenders, and driving business growth. Key Responsibilities - Identify and develop new business opportunities with Central and State Government departments, PSUs, universities, and government institutions. - Track and identify relevant government tenders, RFPs, EOI, GeM opportunities, and e-Governance projects. - Understand tender requirements, eligibility criteria, scope of work, and commercial requirements. - Coordinate with technical, presales, proposal, finance, and management teams for bid preparation and submission. - Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, decision-makers, consultants,



and institutional stakeholders. - Prepare business proposals, presentations, capability documents, and commercial proposals. - Manage the complete business development cycle from lead generation → opportunity qualification → proposal/tender → negotiation → closure. - Conduct market research and monitor government IT projects and upcoming opportunities. - Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and achieve assigned business targets. - Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and handover after order/contract closure. - Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective and existing government clients.
