Role & responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for technical materials and equipment.
- Review engineering drawings and specifications to align purchases with project needs.
- Negotiations on pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contract conditions to achieve cost-effective and value-driven procurement.
- Monitor and assess supplier quality, adherence to timelines, and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Create and manage purchase orders, track delivery status, and coordinate with stores/warehouse to maintain inventory levels as per project timelines.
- Work closely with Engineering, Projects, Operations, and Finance teams to support seamless project execution and procurement planning.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with safety norms, environmental standards, and relevant industry guidelines.
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives, supplier optimization,



and process improvements across the procurement function.

Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field (preferred).
- 0-3 years of experience in procurement of mechanical, engineering, or project-related items, ideally in API/ intermediate/ chemical manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project procurement processes.
- Proven negotiation skills with experience in vendor management and contract finalization.
- Solid analytical, communication, and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities within strict project timelines.
- High level of integrity, ownership, and attention to detail.
