Job Description: Operations Manager – Data Operations

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead end-to-end data operations for a commercial data platform supporting US-based pharmaceutical/life sciences commercial data (HCP, HCO, Payers, Providers, Content, Sales, and Activities data). This is a senior operations role responsible for driving platform stability, governance, and continuous improvement across a complex, multi-partner technical ecosystem — including a managed service execution partner.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on operations leader who can manage production pipelines, drive SLA discipline upstream and downstream, lead incident resolution, and act as the primary operational point of contact across internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Platform & Data Operations




- Own end-to-end operations of the "One Data Platform" covering HCP, HCO, Payers, Providers, Content, Sales, and Activities data domains for the US commercial business.
- Monitor, manage, and support data pipelines built on EMR (S3-based), EKS, DAGs on AWS, Redshift, and PySpark, orchestrated via Control-M.
- Act as the operational lead across the ecosystem, ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams, the managed service execution partner, and business stakeholders.

Incident & Production Management
- Own production issue lifecycle: detection, acknowledgment, root cause identification, and timely resolution of production failures.
- Drive proactive escalation processes to minimize business impacts from pipeline delays or failures.
- Identify and address SLA gaps in upstream file delivery that currently contribute to downstream delays; work with source teams to define and enforce SLAs.
