Job Description – Junior Accountant

Position: Junior Accountant
Experience: 1–3 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, payroll processing, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities. The ideal candidate should have basic practical knowledge of accounting principles and hands-on experience with Tally/ERP and MS Excel.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily accounting entries in Tally/ERP.
- Handle purchase, sales, payment, receipt, and journal entries.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank and ledger reconciliation.
- Assist in monthly payroll processing, including salary calculations and deductions.
- Support PF, ESIC, Professional Tax and TDS activities.
- Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns such as GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
- Assist with GST reconciliation and invoice verification.
- Maintain employee payroll and statutory records.
- Assist senior accountants during monthly closing and audits.




- Prepare basic MIS reports and accounting statements.
- Ensure proper documentation of invoices, bills, receipts, and payment records.
- Coordinate with vendors, employees, and internal teams for accounting-related queries.

Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Knowledge of GST & TDS
- Basic understanding of Payroll
- Knowledge of PF, ESIC & Qualified Tax
- Hands-on experience with Tally / ERP
- Good knowledge of MS Excel
- Bank Reconciliation & Ledger Management
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail

Qualification

B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification
