Data Centre Engineer

Job Type - Contractual (3rd Party Payroll)

Roles & Responsibility
- Responsible for managing the day-to-day health, and reporting of the core DATA Centre infrastructure facilities
- Experience with Dell / HP Rackmount and Blade Servers & Storage Systems.
- Work directly with third party engineers, including security access and delivery of equipment
- Fault finding complex hardware issues directly with vendors
- Manage and Coordinate activities related to hardware decommissioning, rack moves and services migration within various Data Centres
- Understanding and hands on experience on Windows & Unix Operating systems, FTP / File Serers .
- Change Management - Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and ensure proper communication to all stakeholders
- Backup operations management
- DATA Centre Inventory Management




- Manage and coordinate with vendors to resolve any incidents during emergency situations
- Regularly inspect and evaluate physical condition of facility
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office 365 suite, Excel, Power Point, Word and Mail applications
- Business Acumen - Knows how business works

Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft, Linux, VMware, Dell EMC, HP Enterprise, or Data Center technologies will be an added advantage.

Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Center Operations, Infrastructure Support, or Server Administration.
- Experience working with enterprise Data Center environments, OEM vendors, and infrastructure operations is preferred.
