Role & responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data models in SAP BW on HANA (SAP NETWEAVER 7.5),
- including InfoProviders, ADSOs, CompositeProviders, and queries using BEx
- Extract and transform data from SAP ECC/S4 and other systems into SAP BW using standard extractors or custom logic
- Collaborate with data platform and BI teams to align SAP data structures with enterprise reporting needs
- Participate in projects integrating SAP BW data into Azure-based platforms (Synapse,Databricks, etc.)
- Support the migration or replication of SAP BW data for use in cloud environments
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and alignment with business definitions
- Experience in SAP BW development and data modeling
- Understanding of data warehousing and ETL principles
- Familiarity with data extraction tools such as ODP, CDS Views, or flat file integrations
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Positive skills in transforming data in BW:
- ABAP: both Classic ABAP programming’ as ‘Object Oriented programming’
- AMDP
- Structured programming
- Strong understanding of SAP ECC/S4HANA data structures and extractor logic
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to navigate complexity
- Experience in performance and tuning
