PickMyUni Learn is an online English exam preparation platform (IELTS, PTE, Language Cert) under PickMyUni, part of Stepping Stones Consulting Group. Stepping Stones Career Solutions is a Melbourne-based education and migration consultancy with nearly a decade of experience helping students study and migrate to Australia. Its sister company, PickMyUni, is a trusted Australian EdTech platform that helps students with university comparison, admission tools, and expert education guidance. We're launching soon and looking for an experienced tutor to join us as part of our founding team.
Role Overview
As a Tutor, you will be responsible for conducting one-on-one classes and group sessions with students preparing for their English proficiency exams, along with contributing to the creation of instructional content such as practice material, sample answers, and demo videos that help students understand exam expectations and improve their scores.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct 1:1 and group sessions for students preparing for IELTS, PTE, or similar exams
- Create instructional content:
practice material, sample answers, and demo videos
- Provide structured, written feedback on student writing and speaking submissions
- Represent the tutoring standard for a newly launching platform as part of the founding team
Requirements
- A recognised English teaching certification
- Strong personal proficiency in English exams such as IELTS, PTE, or similar, with band scores reflecting expert-level command of the language
- Minimum 2 years of relevant tutoring or teaching experience
- Strong communication skills and comfort with recording video content and providing structured written feedback
