SDE Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices following clean architecture and coding standards.
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and transactions using PostgreSQL/MySQL or similar databases.
- Implement event-driven services using Kafka/RabbitMQ where required.
- Build secure applications using authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2, JWT, or Keycloak.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and testable code with appropriate unit and integration testing.
- Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and production issues.
- Participate in system design and architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions.
- Implement appropriate logging,



monitoring, tracing, and alerting for production services.
- Work with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering and security standards.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and technical discussions.
- Take ownership of features from requirement analysis through development, deployment, and production support.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving engineering practices.
