API Automation Tester

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain API automation test frameworks.
- Create, execute, and manage automated test scripts for REST and SOAP web services.
- Validate API functionality, reliability, performance, and security requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop test cases and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Generate test execution reports and provide quality metrics.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure quality deliverables.

Required Skills





Technical Skills
- Robust experience in API Testing using Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or similar tools.
- Experience in API automation using:
- Rest Assured (Java)
- Selenium with TestNG/JUnit (preferred)
- Karate Framework or equivalent
- Good knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and HTTP protocols.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira.
- Understanding of SQL and database testing.

Programming Skills
- Java (preferred)
- Experience in developing automation frameworks.
