Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management & Quotation Gathering: Actively source quotations from different vendors and suppliers to ensure the best quality products at competitive prices. Negotiate terms and ensure timely delivery according to project specifications.
- Procurement Planning: Collaborate closely with project teams to understand material requirements, ensuring that all necessary resources are procured in alignment with project timelines and budget constraints.
- Inventory & Stock Management: Oversee the management of materials and supplies in the store, ensuring accurate inventory levels. Implement systems for efficient tracking, stock maintenance, and usage to minimize wastage and shortages.
- Site Execution Support: Ensure timely delivery of materials to the project sites as per project needs. Coordinate closely with the site team to ensure that all required materials are available and delivered on schedule for smooth execution.
- Documentation & Reporting: Collect and organize all procurement and inventory-related documents, maintaining accurate records.
Regularly send these documents to the head office for review and reporting purposes.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Monitor procurement expenditures and ensure all purchases are made within the approved budget. Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality or project requirements.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with key suppliers and vendors, ensuring consistent product quality, on-time delivery, and favorable contract terms.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that the materials procured meet the required quality standards and project specifications. Work closely with the quality control team to resolve any quality issues with suppliers.
