Job SummaryWe are looking for a responsible, organised, and proactive Cafeteria Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of our school cafeteria. The candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring timely and quality food service, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth cafeteria operations.

- Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and manage the cafeteria staff and assign daily duties.
- Ensure timely preparation and serving of meals to students and staff.
- Monitor food quality, portion sizes, presentation, and service standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, serving area, dining area, and storage areas.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the management for timely procurement of ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain records of daily production, stock, wastage, and other operational requirements.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food items and ingredients.
- Supervise staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, and discipline.
- Address day-to-day operational issues and ensure smooth functioning of the cafeteria.




- Coordinate professionally with school staff and management whenever required.
- Handle student/parent concerns related to cafeteria services in a polite and professional manner.
- Ensure cafeteria equipment and facilities are used properly and maintained in good working condition.
- Monitor wastage and implement measures to control unnecessary costs.
- Ensure all cafeteria policies and school guidelines are followed.
- Take responsibility for the overall discipline, efficiency, and smooth operation of the cafeteria.
- Candidate RequirementsPrevious experience in cafeteria, canteen, catering, restaurant, or food-service supervision will be preferred.
- Positive communication and people-management skills.
- Ability to manage a team and handle day-to-day operational responsibilities.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Responsible, punctual, disciplined, and presentable.
- Experience in a school/educational institution cafeteria will be an added advantage.
