Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our company's physical space. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the facility, managing vendor relationships, coordinating repairs, and ensuring a protected, efficient, and comfortable working environment for employees.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facility Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of the building, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
- Coordinate and schedule regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage facility upgrades, renovations, and improvements.
1. Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors for services such as cleaning, security, landscaping, and waste management.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

2. Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness in operations.
3. Track and report on expenses related to facility operations and maintenance.
4. Health and Safety:
- Ensure that the building complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Coordinate emergency procedures and disaster recovery planning.
1. Space Management:
- Plan and coordinate office space utilization, including seating arrangements, equipment, and furniture.
- Oversee space planning for expansion or reorganization needs.
1. Energy Management:
- Monitor energy usage and implement initiatives to reduce energy consumption and operational costs.
- Identify and recommend improvements for energy efficiency.
1. Team Supervision:
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff, custodians, and other facility personnel.
- Ensure proper training and development for all team members.
- Provide performance evaluations and foster a positive work environment.
1. Emergency Response:
- Respond to facility-related emergencies and resolve issues promptly.
- Develop and implement procedures for handling building-related emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in facilities management, property management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and health & safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities management software (e.g., FMX, Archibus).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., CFM, FMP).
- Experience managing large-scale facilities or multiple locations.
- Knowledge of energy management systems and sustainability initiatives.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in both office and maintenance environments.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for facility-related emergencies or projects.
