Job Summary

The Laser Cutting & Bending Material Production Engineer is responsible for planning, monitoring, and executing production activities related to laser cutting and sheet metal bending operations. The role involves extracting production drawings from AutoCAD, preparing production files, planning material utilization, ensuring quality standards, and achieving daily production targets while maintaining efficient machine utilization

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor daily production activities for laser cutting and bending operations.
- Extract production drawings and dimensions from AutoCAD files for manufacturing.
- Prepare production drawings and verify dimensions before releasing them to the shop floor.
- Prepare nesting layouts to optimize material utilization and minimize scrap.
- Plan the sequence of laser cutting and bending operations to ensure smooth production flow.
- Ensure the correct material grade, thickness, and specifications are used as per production requirements.
- Monitor machine performance, productivity,



and downtime for both laser cutting and bending machines.
- Verify the quality and dimensional accuracy of laser-cut and bent components.
- Coordinate with the Design, Quality, and Dispatch departments to ensure timely completion of production orders.
- Maintain daily production reports, machine utilization reports, and material consumption records.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements to improve productivity and reduce material wastage.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and promptly report any machine-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and company policies.
- Guide and supervise machine operators and helpers to ensure efficient and protected operations.
