Job Description Position: ManagerDepartment -Design & PlanningRoleDesign and Planning Manager shall be responsible for preparing and monitoring all required data for manufacturing department along with team. Also, should provide estimate of all required component and must frequently communicate between all concerned team for any clarifications or revisions.
Responsibilties• Co-ordinate with all departments.
• Provide cost estimates for materials, equipment, and/or labour
• To prepare monthly reports and submit them to management.
• Work to improve and maintain existing products
• Convert basic design information and requirements into working drawings
• Prepare designs, BOM and estimates wherever required.
• Oversee the project manufacturing process.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Recommend modifications for design improvements and simplification.
• Assist with field and manufacturing problems.
• Proactive and willing to take on current challenges.
• Work effectively under pressure.
• Mentor junior staff.
• To visit and analyse suppliers capabilities.
• To check and finalise suppliers quotations wherever needed.
• To Maintain records of all projects systematically.
• To monitor all the activities within the department.
• To clarify all design related queries.
• Must be part of all certification programs whichever required.
• Report to reporting manager at specified intervals.
• Any other which is required by management.
