We're building digital experiences that make it easier for neighbourhood businesses to get online and manage their everyday operations. We're looking for a Junior Product Designer who wants hands-on ownership and the opportunity to work directly with the Founder, Product and Engineering teams.
About the Role
As a Junior Product Designer, you will design the digital experiences that help local shops get started with Zufffy and use it day to day.
You will work across onboarding, mobile interfaces, front-end experiences and back-end dashboards, turning real business requirements into straightforward, usable products.
This is a hands-on role where you will see your designs move from idea to implementation and learn directly from real user and product feedback.
What You Will Do
- Design end-to-end experiences for local shops, including onboarding, front-end interfaces and back-end dashboards.
- Turn real-world business requirements into simple, intuitive user experiences.
- Create wireframes,
prototypes and high-fidelity designs in Figma.
- Build and contribute to reusable components and design-system patterns.
- Design mobile experiences with one-handed usability in mind, including thumb reach, tap-target size and preventing accidental taps.
- Work closely with the Founder, Product and Engineering teams.
- Clearly explain your design decisions and iterate quickly based on feedback.
- Help create a reusable design approach so future shop onboarding can be designed more efficiently.
What We Are Looking For
- Understanding of design fundamentals such as layout, hierarchy, typography, colour, spacing and visual consistency.
- Product thinking you understand the problem you are solving.
- Ability to simplify complex workflows and requirements into clear, usable interfaces.
- Good understanding of UI/UX principles and mobile design.
- Ability to communicate your design reasoning clearly.
