Key Purpose of the Role

To lead, manage, and optimize the logistics operations including warehousing, order dispatch, transportation, and company fleet, ensuring safe and timely delivery of glass products with minimal damage, cost, and delays.

Key Responsibilities

1. Logistics & Dispatch Planning

· Develop productive logistics and dispatch plans aligned with production and customer requirements.

· Ensure timely delivery of processed glass to customers across regions with optimal routing.

2. Company Vehicle & Fleet Management

· Maintain all company-owned vehicles in roadworthy condition.

· Ensure all trucks and vans are equipped for glass transport (A-frames, padding, tie-downs).

· Manage servicing schedules, renewals (RC, insurance, PUC), and fuel consumption tracking.

3. Vehicle Cost Management

· Track and control operating costs for all company vehicles, including: fuel expenses, maintenance and repairs,



insurance and documentation renewals, spare parts and service labor.

· Maintain vehicle-wise cost logs and analyze monthly cost trends.

· Identify cost-saving opportunities such as route optimization, preventive maintenance, or third-party repair alternatives.

· Prevent misuse of company vehicles by enforcing discipline and usage monitoring systems (e.g., GPS, logbooks).

4. Warehouse & Inventory Coordination

· Ensure accurate dispatch of materials from warehouse to site/customer.

· Coordinate inventory flow and stock rotation (FIFO, order priority) in sync with delivery.

5. Driver Management

· Supervise drivers and delivery staff, ensuring discipline, safety compliance, and timely movement.

· Conduct periodic training on glass handling, emergency protocols, and route efficiency.

6. Third-Party Logistics Management

· Identify and engage reliable third-party transporters.
