Welding Quality Asst Manager/Dpty Manager

Your Task
- Drive weld shop quality performance by reducing DPM, rework, and rejection through structured problem solving.
- Ensure compliance to WPS, welding parameters, 4Q standards, and critical dimension controls during in-process inspections.
- Lead root cause analysis and ensure effective CAPA closure to prevent recurrence of weld and fabrication defects.
- Conduct welding & fabrication process audits to ensure adherence to sequence, fit-up, distortion control, and quality systems.
- Monitor quality data in BMS, analyze trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across weld and assembly shops.

Your Profile




- BE/B.Tech Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy with 8+ years of experience in welding/fabrication quality.
- Robust expertise in MIG/MAG/TIG welding processes, weld defect analysis, and NDT methods (UT, DP, MPI, VT).
- Hands-on experience in WPS, PQR, WPQ documentation and interpretation of fabrication drawings with GD&T.;
- Well-versed in quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, SPC, MSA and ISO/IATF systems.
- Proven leadership capability to manage quality teams, drive audits, and coordinate with production & assembly stakeholders.
