Key Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical composition analysis of ferrous and non-ferrous materials using Spectrometer.
- Perform and monitor Hardness Testing, Tensile Testing and other material tests.
- Analyze raw material, in-process and finished component quality.
- Verify material composition as per customer specifications and applicable standards.
- Support foundry processes including melting, pouring and heat treatment.
- Monitor and control metallurgical parameters to achieve required material properties.
- Investigate casting defects such as porosity, shrinkage, blow holes, cracks, inclusions and cold shuts.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis for metallurgical and casting-related defects.
- Maintain test reports, inspection records and material certificates.
- Ensure calibration and proper functioning of laboratory/testing equipment.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality and Foundry teams for process improvement.
- Support NCR, CAPA, 5 Why and corrective action activities.
- Prepare and maintain metallurgical test reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and customer requirements.
- Support continuous improvement and reduction of rejection/rework.
