National Health Authority (NHA) is the apex body responsible for implementing Indias flagship public health insurance/assurance scheme called Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana & has been entrusted with the role of designing strategy, building technological infrastructure and

implementation of National Digital Health Mission to create a National Digital Health Eco-system. National Health Authority is the successor of the National Health Agency, which was functioning as a registered society since 23rd May, 2018.NHA is governed by a Governing Board chaired by the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare.

Role & responsibilities
- Development of HBP of AB PM-JAY at the Central level in coordination with other agencies




- Co-ordination of Technical Inputs from experts of NHA and co-ordination with all the States/ UTs on Health Benefit Packages
- Review and revision of state specific procedures to be added to HBP 2.0 to facilitate migration of states to HBP 2.0
- Facilitate standing committees across specialties for review of state specific packages, as and when required
- Resolution of tickets related to queries on both versions of HBP
- Undertake monitoring visits to the states and support the state government for the various issue in implementation of the scheme

Education Qualification:-

Medical graduate + MBA /MHA/PGHHM or MPH,M.sc, Masters in health policy, Health financing, Health economics or equivalent with minimum 5 years of work experience
