Short-Form Video Editor — Instagram Reels & TikTok (Remote)

StashIt is an iOS app in the social commerce space.

We're building the content engine behind it and need one editor to own the edit. You'd work directly with the founder — no agency layer, no account managers, no client revisions. Raw footage and a brief in the morning, finished ready-to-post videos by evening.

The job
- Short app demos, split-screen "found her whole outfit" edits, talking-head clips, and photo slideshows.
- Turn one raw filming session into many genuinely different videos: different hook text, different opening seconds, different audio and length. Not re-exports of the same cut.
- Burn in captions, make the hook readable in the very first frame, and deliver each video with its caption file in a dated folder.
- Understanding what works, having an eye for the latest trends.

You need
- Real speed in whatever editor you already know — VN, InShot, Filmora, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, Final Cut. We care about the output, not the software.
- 1080×1920, hook-first instincts.



You know the first second decides everything and you cut like it.
- Content that reads American. Our audience is entirely US — dollar prices, US stores, American phrasing, nothing that reads as Indian-English on screen. You don't need to have lived there. You do need to catch it.
- Everything finished a day ahead. We post on US clocks, so nothing can be a same-day scramble.
- Your own laptop that handles 1080p vertical editing, and internet that uploads several GB a day without drama.

Nice to have: you've edited for an account that actually got views and can point at it. Opinions about hooks.

Not this job: long-form YouTube, wedding films, corporate video, heavy motion graphics. No After Effects needed.
