About the Role

KPMG India is seeking highly motivated professionals to join its Risk Consulting practice in the area of AI Governance and Responsible AI. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, NLP, or related technologies who are interested in applying their technical expertise to AI Risk, Governance, Controls, Compliance, and Assurance engagements.

The selected candidate will support clients in establishing AI governance frameworks, assessing AI-related risks, evaluating control effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with emerging AI regulations and standards.

Note: This is not a pure software development role. Candidates should have an interest in AI Governance, Risk Management, Controls Testing, Responsible AI, and Compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Support AI Governance, Responsible AI, and Risk Management engagements.
- Conduct AI risk assessments and evaluate governance and control frameworks.
- Review AI/ML and Generative AI use cases for compliance, ethics, fairness, explainability, accountability, and security.




- Assess risks associated with LLMs, RAG applications, Agentic AI systems, and machine learning models.
- Perform governance reviews, control testing, and AI assurance activities.
- Assist clients in developing AI risk mitigation strategies and governance frameworks.
- Evaluate compliance with internal AI policies and emerging AI regulations.
- Support development and implementation of Responsible AI frameworks and policies.
- Collaborate with business, technology, risk, legal, and compliance stakeholders.
- Stay updated on evolving AI regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

Required Skills
- 3 to 10 years of experience in AI/ML, NLP, Machine Learning, Data Science, GenAI, or related domains.
- Solid understanding of:
- Python
- Machine Learning
- NLP
- Generative AI
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- LangChain / LangGraph
- RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
- Experience with OpenAI, Azu
