Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Execute approved maintenance window activities in large-scale service provider network environments.

Perform pre-maintenance readiness checks, including device health, interface status, routing adjacencies, redundancy status, configuration state, and required access validation.

Follow approved Method of Procedure (MOP) documents, checklists, and change-control requirements with strong attention to detail.

Implement production network changes on Cisco routing and switching platforms during scheduled maintenance windows.

Validate service health before, during, and after maintenance activity, including routing, switching, redundancy, management access, interface state, and customer-impact indicators.

Support rollback, recovery, and contingency procedures when maintenance activity does not proceed as expected.

Troubleshoot issues involving routing convergence, BGP/OSPF adjacencies, interface state, failover behavior, configuration variance, and device health.

Identify risk, pause or stop execution when needed,



and escalate clearly when network conditions, documentation, or implementation steps do not align with the approved plan.

Work closely with project leads, peer engineers, customer technical teams, and project managers to coordinate execution, validation, escalation, and follow-up.

Document maintenance results, exceptions, issues, and follow-up actions clearly and accurately.

Help identify repeatable issues and opportunities to improve MOP quality, checklist accuracy, implementation consistency, and operational efficiency.

Good to have:

Solid understanding of service provider network architecture and operational practices.

In-depth knowledge of routing and switching technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, VLANs, trunking, STP, LACP, QinQ, and high availability concepts.

Hands-on experience with Cisco network hardware and software in production service provider or large enterprise enviro
