The Pharmacy Billing cum Cashier is responsible for accurate billing, cash handling, payment collection, and customer service at the pharmacy counter. The role also involves coordinating with pharmacists and pharmacy staff to ensure smooth and timely processing of customer prescriptions and pharmacy purchases.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate bills for medicines, medical supplies, and other pharmacy products.
- Process cash, card, UPI, and other authorized payment methods.
- Handle cash responsibly and maintain accurate cash records.
- Verify billing details, quantities, discounts, taxes, and payment amounts before completing transactions.
- Generate and provide bills/receipts to customers.
- Handle returns, cancellations, refunds, and billing corrections as per company policy and with proper authorization.
- Coordinate with pharmacists and pharmacy staff regarding prescriptions, product availability, and billing requirements.
- Ensure that all transactions are entered correctly into the pharmacy billing/POS system.
- Maintain daily cash collection and billing records.




- Perform end-of-shift cash reconciliation and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer/patient information.
- Provide polite, professional, and efficient customer service.
- Attend to customer queries related to billing, payments, and receipts.
- Ensure the billing counter and surrounding area are clean and organized.
- Follow all pharmacy, cash-handling, billing, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Support the pharmacy team with other duties assigned by the Pharmacy In-Charge/Manager.

Qualifications
- Minimum qualification: Plus Two / Diploma / equivalent.
- Previous experience in pharmacy billing, hospital billing, retail pharmacy, or cashiering is preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with billing/POS software.
- Valuable numerical and communication skills.
- Knowledge of cash handling and basic billing procedures.
