The Engineer - System Testing will be integrated into a core team responsible for validating the Flight Management System (FMS)-the "brain" of the aircraft. Under the guidance of senior engineers, you will support the full validation lifecycle to ensure Airbus products operate safely and reliably. This role offers a unique opportunity for an early-career engineer to develop foundational expertise in complex avionics systems, contributing to certification and real-world safety.
Responsibilities
- System Integration Validation: Assist in preparing and performing system tests on various ground-based test rigs and virtual platforms to identify FMS defects.
- Automation Innovation: Create, validate, and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and eliminate the cost of non-quality.
- Data Analysis: Support the analysis of flight data to analyze FMS system behavior and support root cause analysis.
- VV Lifecycle Support: Shadow senior engineers to understand test strategies, execute test procedures,
and assist in preparing certification evidence like test result summaries.
- Innovation Automation: Drive the innovation of value-added testing techniques, including automated testing, virtual testing, and Big Data Analysis to eliminate the cost of non-quality.
- Documentation: Review and validate design specification documents such as System Description Documents (SDD), System Integration Documents (SID), and Interface Control Document (ICD).
Essential Qualifications
- B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Electronics/Avionics or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in Avionics VV or development.
- Strong foundational knowledge of FMS domains: Flight Planning, Navigation, Guidance, and Performance Prediction.
- Robust knowledge of Indicating Recording systems, Guidance, Navigation, and Control.
