ALM ElectroMed Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with sound knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and import-export documentation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, coordinating with logistics and customs agencies for imports/exports, and supporting the overall finance and administration functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting & FinanceMaintain day-to-day accounting transactions in accounting software (Tally ERP/Tally Prime or ERP systems).
- Prepare and maintain purchase, sales, receipt, payment, and journal vouchers.
- Perform bank reconciliation, vendor reconciliation, and customer account reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Process employee reimbursements and maintain expense records.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
- Taxation & Statutory CompliancePrepare and file GST returns and ensure GST compliance.
- Manage TDS deductions, return filing, and related reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with Income Tax and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain proper records for audits and regulatory inspections.
- Import & Export DocumentationHandle import documentation including Purchase Orders, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Entry, and Customs documentation.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and logistics partners.
- Monitor import shipments and ensure timely customs clearance.
- Maintain import costing and landed cost calculations.
- Process payments related to imports through banks (LC, TT, Advance Remittance, etc.).
- Maintain records related to IEC, DGFT, and other import-export compliance requirements.
- Coordinate export documentation where applicable, including shipping bills, invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bank documentation.
- Ensure compliance with FEMA, RBI, customs, and DGFT regulations.
- Inventory & Commercial CoordinationVerify inventory valuation and reconcile stock with accounts.
- Coordinate with procurement, stores, and logistics departments.
- Monitor fixed assets and maintain asset registers.
- Support inventory audits and physical stock verification.
- Administrative & Other ResponsibilitiesPrepare MIS reports for management.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial and commercial records.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, government authorities, and consultants.
- Assist management in financial analysis and decision-making.
- Perform any other finance, commercial, or administrative duties assigned by management.
- Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com); M.Com or MBA (Finance) preferred.
- 3–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a medical device, healthcare, manufacturing, or import-based company.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and accounting standards.
- Hands-on experience with import-export documentation and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in Busy, Tally Prime/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of banking transactions related to international trade is desirable.
