A Collection Manager is responsible for overseeing the recovery of outstanding payments owed to an organization while maintaining compliance, customer relationships, and operational efficiency.

- Key Roles and Responsibilities1. Manage Collections OperationsDevelop and implement collection strategies to reduce overdue accounts.
- Monitor aging reports and outstanding receivables.
- Ensure collection targets and recovery goals are achieved.
- 2. Lead and Supervise Collection TeamsRecruit, train, and mentor collection officers or agents.
- Set performance goals and monitor team productivity.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
- 3. Monitor Delinquent AccountsReview high-value or complex overdue accounts.
- Prioritize accounts based on risk and recovery potential.
- Approve escalation actions for difficult cases.
- 4. Customer and Client CommunicationNegotiate payment arrangements and settlement plans.
- Handle escalated customer complaints related to collections.
- Maintain skilled relationships while pursuing recoveries.
- 5. Compliance and Risk ManagementEnsure collection activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain proper documentation of collection actions.
- Minimize legal and reputational risks.

Reporting and AnalysisPrepare collection performance reports and dashboards.
- Analyze collection trends, recovery rates, and portfolio performance.
- Recommend process improvements based on data analysis.

- Support credit risk assessments and policy development.
- Coordinate legal action when necessary for unrecoverable debts.
- 8. Process ImprovementImplement new collection tools, technologies, and workflows.
- Improve collection efficiency and customer engagement.
- Optimize collection costs while maximizing recoveries.
