Job Description

A reputed Cardiac Care Hospital in Vadodara is looking for an experienced and technically competent Biomedical Engineer to manage and maintain biomedical equipment and ensure the smooth functioning of critical medical devices across the hospital.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of hospital biomedical equipment, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and vendor coordination, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant hospital experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day maintenance and functioning of biomedical equipment across the hospital.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of medical equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot and repair biomedical equipment as required.
- Coordinate with authorised vendors and service providers for equipment servicing and repairs.




- Maintain proper records of equipment maintenance, breakdowns and service history.
- Ensure regular calibration and preventive maintenance of medical equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential technical issues.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning and testing of new biomedical equipment.
- Coordinate with clinical departments regarding equipment requirements and technical issues.
- Maintain an updated inventory of biomedical equipment and related documentation.
- Ensure biomedical equipment complies with hospital safety and operational standards.
- Support clinical staff with basic operational guidance for biomedical equipment.
- Ensure timely servicing and maintenance of critical equipment, particularly in ICU, CCU, OT, Emergency and other critical-care areas.
- Follow hospital safety protocols and applicable biomedical equipment standards.
