INAE is a preschool rooted in inquiry-based learning, located in Kotturpuram, Chennai. We serve children ages 1–4 through a globally integrated curriculum that blends Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and social-emotional learning.

The Receptionist is the first voice parents hear and the first face every visitor sees. Every phone call, every walk-in, and every morning drop-off shapes the first impression of our school. We are looking for someone warm, composed, and genuinely attentive — a person who makes parents, children, and guests feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they arrive.

This is a people-facing, front-of-house role. You will spend your day greeting, answering, coordinating, and keeping the front desk calm and organised. You must be comfortable being "on" with parents and visitors throughout the day, and patient with the steady rhythm of a busy school entrance during drop-off and pick-up.

About the Role

You will run the front desk: welcoming parents and visitors, answering calls and messages,



directing inquiries to the right person, and keeping the entrance area warm, tidy, and professional. You will support the Head of Operations and the Principal with scheduling, visitor coordination, and daily front-office tasks, and you will be a calm, reassuring presence for parents at the start and end of each day.

What You Will Do
- Greet parents, children, and visitors warmly and professionally at the front desk
- Answer phone calls, WhatsApp messages, and walk-in inquiries, and route them to the right person
- Take messages, share basic information, and field first-level admissions inquiries before handing them to the Head of Operations
- Maintain the visitor log, manage deliveries, and keep the reception area clean and presentable
- Support drop-off and pick-up: welcoming children in, helping parents, and keeping the entrance orderly and safe
- Assist with scheduling appointments, school tours, and parent meetings
